The trade route, known as The Neck offers safe passage between the two settlements. The heavy forested area surrounding The Next on either side is known as The Deep and offers a variety of dangers to anyone that ventures into it. The Neck is kept safe by wards place by [[Dr. Francis Norman Stein]], the patron of the Tanglepines. He's come under a bit of pressure ever since the reports of attacks along the trade route began. You've encountered Dr. Stein's handiwork before in the [[Maphrok Jungle]] where you happened upon an old lab of his. It seems what happened there may be happening here. Have the good Doctor's experiments gotten out? Or is something more sinister at work?
